Used For: The substance is known to reduce fevers, promote urination, and induce expectoration.

In Chinese medicine the element is used for stones in the urinary tract and urinary infections. It is also effective for eliminating yellow phlegm, which is hard to expectorate. The substance is also used to relieve lymphatic gland inflammations, associated with phlegm accumulation.

Preparation and Intake: The commonly taken dose is from 6 to 15 grams.

Safety: Pumice is not recommended for coughs, induced by weakness and colds.
