Used For: The herb is used to relieve inflammations, treat bacterial infections, and relieve pains. Violet is particularly beneficial for inflammatory conditions, like boils or abscesses, for which it is used externally in form of poultice. Made into tea it is applied to ear, eye, and throat swellings, for instance ulcers and mumps. Conventionally it is employed in Western and Eastern herbal medicine to relive and eliminate tumors.

Preparation and Intake: The commonly used dose is from 9 to 15 grams.
